Watermollen Galemys sp. en Desmana cf. moschata (Linnaeus, 1758) (Talpidae; Desmaninae) van het strand van Hoek van Holland (Eurogeulgebied)

Two rare species of small mammals are described ex-situ from the beach of Hoek van Holland (Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands): Galemys sp. and Desmana cf. moschata (Linnaeus, 1758) (Talpidae; Desmaninae). The origin of the fossils is most likely the Eurogeul area. Based on preservation, the Desmana cf. moschata specimen is most likely of Weichselian age. This is the third published record of Desmana (cf.) moschata from The Netherlands and the frst from the Eurogeul area
